ILLINOIS — Some isolated thunderstorms are possible Friday evening before a warm, summery weekend for Illinois, with highs in the 80s on both Saturday and Sunday. According to the National Weather Service, it will be dry both days, although there could be gusts up to 20 mph on Saturday.
There is also a limited thunderstorm risk through Friday evening. The weather service said an isolated strong thunderstorm or two is possible through mid-evening. These storms could produce hail and strong winds, and the highest risk period is 3 to 9 p.m.
