Stormy Weekend Ahead For Chicago Area

There will still be several dry hours throughout the weekend, but scattered storms are expected.

Rain and storms are possible throughout the weekend, although temperatures will remain around 80 degrees. According to the National Weather Service, there is a limited thunderstorm risk on Friday, which could include hail and damaging winds.

Widely scattered thunderstorms are expected Friday, mostly south of I-80 in the afternoon. According to the NWS, the chance of thunderstorms remains tonight,most likely after 11 p.m. There will be scattered storms throughout the weekend, but there will still be several dry hours.

Storms will remain in the area on Saturday and Sunday, and the high for Saturday and Sunday is 83 degrees. Temperatures will be cooler near the lake, and winds off the lake will keep temps up north in the upper 60s to lower 70s.
