Strong Storms Possible, Temps Back To 80s For IL

ILLINOIS — Strong to severe storms are possible Sunday night and Monday afternoon as temperatures remain hot and humid, according to the National Weather Service. Storms with strong winds are possible across the entire area starting late Sunday through daybreak Monday.

Monday could see heat index values up to 102 degrees, and there is also a chance of strong to severe storms on Monday afternoon and evening.

Temperatures will start to cool starting Tuesday, which has a high of 85 degrees. According to the weather service, Wednesday will be similar with a high of 83.

There is a chance of storms on both Thursday and Friday, and both days will have temps in the 80s, with a high of 84 degrees expected.
