River Valley and Oakwood Students Raise Funds for The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS)

Pennies for Patients totals are in! The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS) exists to help find cures for and ensure access to treatments for blood cancer patients. The LLS supports research to advance more promising therapies and acts as the voice for blood cancer patients to ensure access to the best available treatments. Students at River Valley and Oakwood Schools participated in the Pennies for Patients, which is a fundraising event to support this worthy cause. Classrooms competed against one another in trying to raise funds and raise awareness for LLS. This year, River Valley and Oakwood Schools raised a total of $4,036.79! A big THANK YOU to the OW/RV PTO, who sponsored the event and to Jennifer Mancini, who volunteered to come in and collect the money each and every day!

3rd Prize – a $25 gift card to Scholastic Books presented to your teacher

And…the highest classroom in EACH grade will win a PAJAMA DAY!
