As the sun set, friends gathered to listen to some great music amongst great company all in a beautiful outdoor setting! The Lemont Park District’s Inaugural Sunset Soiree concert was so well received last summer, the event has turned into a series this year. Coined “The Ravinia Festival of Lemont,” this FREE concert series kicked off this past Friday, June 21st as the Walk-ins entertained the crowds. The District is gearing up for the July 19th and August 16th concerts at Centennial Park. Sunset Soiree picnic areas open at 5:30 p.m. and premiere local bands take the stage at 6 p.m. The line up includes Fire Chicken in July and Vintage Wood in August! Also, event sponsor Tap House Grill in Lemont will be on site with some featured menu items for purchase. Picnic baskets and blankets in tow, friends, families and neighbors will enjoy evenings filled with live music and great conversation.
