Gibson’s business experience includes 19 years in city government, direct sales for 5 years, and vendor shows. Her baked goods have been sold by private order for more than five years. This will be her first established bakery.
“I have always dreamed of owning my own bakery and ice cream parlor. To have that old-fashioned feeling the minute you enter the door. It is a dream coming true.”
She is currently at work transforming the space to fit her needs. A tentative opening is set for the first week of November, though the exact date is not yet clear. She will offer decorating classes and private birthday parties, as well as other features.
As her dream comes to fruition, she can’t wait to meet more Lemont residents and share her passion with them.
“My son and I recently moved to Lemont and are loving every day here!” Gibson said.
