Taste Of Lemont: Vendors, Entertainment Line-Up

The popular event features local food and drink vendors and live entertainment.

LEMONT, IL — The annual Taste of Lemont will be held on Saturday, Sept. 7 from 5 to 11 p.m. near the Metra lot in downtown Lemont. The popular event is hosted by the Lemont High School Educational Foundation and features local food and drink vendors and live entertainment.

Tickets are on sale now and $10 if purchased in advance ($15 in person at the door). Admission is free for ages 14 and under, and also free for Lemont High School students with a valid student ID, the school said. Tickets may be purchased online by visiting www.tasteoflemont.com. Lemont High School students can also earn Homecoming points for their class by checking in at the Taste of Lemont.

Entertainment

Entertainment will start at 5 p.m. with performances from Lemont High School's marching band and choir. Then, at 5:45 p.m., sophomore Abbey Chaidez will perform a brief solo set.

The school said "Split Decision" will return to the Taste of Lemont stage for a set from 6:15-7:30 p.m. Finally, "Hi Infidelity" will make its Taste of Lemont debut with a show from 8-11 p.m.

Vendors

The school said food tickets are purchased on-site and redeemed with the vendors. Each restaurant will have multiple affordable options on its menu.

The line-up of food and drink providers will include: Big Ed’s Shed, Digs on Canal, Gelsosomo’s Pizzeria, Hughie McClafferty’s Irish Pub, Jimbo’s Pizza, Just Hummus, Kitaro, Lemont Quarry Pub & Grill, Lemont Valley Market, MaMa D’s, Muffins, Next Mex, Pollyanna Brewing Company, Rosati’s Pizza, Rustic Knead and The Vault.

There will also be a Split the Pot fundraiser at the event. The school said the event is rain or shine.

Individuals who do not wish to purchase tickets online may do so in person at the school’s Security Office through Sept. 6, or by contacting LHSEF board member Janette Acton at either actonjanette@comcast.net or (630) 567-2640.

Proceeds from “Food for Thought” benefit the LHSEF, which has a mission to partner with the community to make lasting improvements to Lemont High School that will enhance the total educational experience for all of its students, the school said.
