The new shop sells women's clothing, as well as accessories like purses and hats.
LEMONT, IL — Tatum Mae Boutique, downtown Lemont's newest business, opened at 406 Main Street in February.
Owner Brianne VanPelt said the new shop sells women's clothing, as well as accessories like purses and hats.
"We have a young market, but we have a really good following for young moms and moms in general," VanPelt told Patch.

"I wanted prices to be affordable," she said, added that the clothing is casual wear, comfortable, on-the-go and stylish.
The Frankfort resident said she also plans to offer children's clothing, as well as a "mommy and me" collection, which would be universal enough to be unisex.

"That won't be ready until later this year," VanPelt said.
The boutique will also continue to hold pop-up events with other small businesses, which will bring in their products to sell at the store.
It was at a similar event last year at another downtown Lemont business, That Girl + Co, that VanPelt was introduced to Lemont.
VanPelt said that after the event, she walked around the downtown, and shortly after, she began the process of finding a location for her business.
"I love Lemont," she said. "I love the small town, but big town feel."
Renovations on the boutique began in the summer, and the boutique officially opened on Feb. 11.
"It's been the most amazing, sweetest welcome," VanPelt said.
Tatum Mae Boutique is open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, and noon to 4 p.m. on Sunday. The store is closed on Monday and Tuesday.
