Frigid Start To Week Before Possible Warmup: Illinois Weather

Temperatures will warm slightly throughout the week, reaching up to the 40s on Thursday and Friday.

Cold temps will stick around this week, with temperatures in the mid-20s on Tuesday. According to the National Weather Service, the work week should be dry with temps starting in the 30s on Monday.

Tuesday has a high of 31 degrees, while Wednesday is only slightly warmer with a high of 35 degrees. Thursday and Friday will be even warmer, with temperatures creeping up into the 40s.

Over the weekend, some cold temperatures were recorded across the area on Saturday. The NWS the coldest temp was 14 degrees at Paw Paw, followed by 15 at Rochelle Airport and 16 degrees in both DeKalb and Dwight.
