Spring-Like Weather: Temps In 50s, Sunny Week For IL

ILLINOIS — March has arrived, and spring is just a few short weeks away. Temperatures will remain mild this week, with several days above 50 degrees. Sunday saw the first 60 degree day in 2020, with both Rockford and O'Hare hitting the 60 degree mark, the National Weather Service said. Some of the area could even see some isolated thunderstorms Sunday night, mainly along and southeast of I-55.

The high for Monday is 47 degrees, and it will be mostly sunny, but could have gusts up to 15 mph, according to the weather service. Tuesday will also be breezy but even warmer with a high of 52 degrees. Wednesday will be sunny with another high of 52 degrees.

The weather service said Thursday will be the warmest day of the week, with a high of 56, although it will again be breezy. There's also a slight chance of rain Thursday.

Finally, Friday will have a high of 47 degrees and should also be dry and mostly sunny.
