60-Degree Temps, Dry, Windy Weather: Illinois Weekend

We "spring ahead" an hour this weekend, and temperatures will feel spring-like as well.

ILLINOIS — Spring is creeping ever closer as temperatures are expected to rise above 60 degrees Sunday. Another sign of the impending spring is Daylight Saving Time, which also begins Sunday, when Illinois springs ahead an hour.

The weather is expected to be dry and gusty both Saturday and Sunday, the National Weather Service said. A high of 54 degrees is expected Saturday, and a high of 63 degrees is expected on Sunday.

The dry and windy conditions will also lead to an elevated fire danger Saturday afternoon and Sunday afternoon. According to the weather service, humidity values will only range from 25 to 35 percent on Saturday. Gusts could be as high as 25 mph Saturday and 30 mph Sunday.
