Rain, Temps In The 70s: Illinois Weekend Weather

Rain is possible Saturday night and into Sunday. Temps will remain in the 70s this weekend.

ILLINOIS — Temps in the 70s will continue into the weekend, although rain is possible on Saturday night and Sunday. The National Weather Service said temps will drop into the 50s on Friday night, and it will be gusty with winds up to 20 mph.

During the day Saturday, the high will be 78 degrees. The NWS said rain will move into the area Saturday night, with the highest chance during the overnight hours. Sunday will be slightly cooler, and there is a 30 to 40 percent chance of showers, with a high of 72 degrees expected.

The NWS said rain will continue on Sunday night, and it will be around 60 degrees.

  • SATURDAY NIGHT: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 58. North wind around 5 mph becoming east northeast in the evening.
  • SUNDAY: A 40 percent chance of showers. Cloudy, with a high near 69. Calm wind becoming east around 5 mph in the morning. Winds could gust as high as 15 mph.
  • SUNDAY NIGHT: A 30 percent chance of showers, mainly before 1 a.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 57. East wind around 5 mph, with gusts as high as 10 mph.
