Temps In The 70s, Warm Start To The Week In Illinois

ILLINOIS — A few days of very mild weather are in store for the Chicago area this week. The National Weather service said Monday will have a high of 64 degrees, with increasing clouds during the day. There is a chance of rain in the afternoon, as well as a chance of rain and thunderstorms Monday night.

Temperatures will soar up to 77 degrees Tuesday. The weather service said chances for storms are low, but if any do develop, the storms would likely be severe.

Wednesday will be the last day of above average temps for the week, with a high of 67 degrees. According to the weather service, there is also a chance of storms Wednesday night.

Temps will be in the 40s both Thursday and Friday, with a high of 49 Thursday and 48 Friday. It will be sunny both days, before a chance of rain and possibly snow showers Friday night, according to the weather service.
