Temps In The 80s To Start The Week, Before Rain, Temps In 60s

It will feel like summer at the start of the week before temps drop into the 60s by Friday.

ILLINOIS — After a gloomy weekend, rain is expected to close out the day Sunday. According to the National Weather Service, there will be another period of showers and thunderstorms Sunday afternoon, especially in areas along and south of I-80.

Monday and Tuesday will feel summer-like and temps in the 80s are expected. The NWS Monday will be sunny and dry with a high of 85 degrees. Tuesday will have a high of 88 degrees, but storms are possible Tuesday afternoon as well as late Tuesday night into Wednesday.

Wednesday will be similar, with a high of 83 degrees. The NWS said storms are possible Wednesday morning, followed by rain in the afternoon.

Thursday and Friday will close out the week with cooler temperatures. According to the NWS, Thursday will have a high of 68 degrees, and features a chance of rain in the morning. Friday has a high of 64 degrees and will be mostly sunny.
