70-Degree Temps Return, Plus Storms: IL Week Ahead Weather

ILLINOIS — It may not seem like it when you look outside at the snow on the ground, but temperatures will soar to 70 degrees for the majority of this week. The week will start out with a high of 56 degrees on Monday, according to the National Weather Service, melting the snow from Sunday.

Temperatures will feel more spring-like on Tuesday, which has a high of 73 degrees. It should be dry on Tuesday during the day, before a chance of rain and thunderstorms on Tuesday night, the NWS said. The chance of storms continue on Wednesday and Thursday, but temperatures will remain warm with a high of 73 degrees on Wednesday and 69 degrees on Thursday.

Friday will again be a little cooler, with a high near 57 and a chance of showers as well.
