Temps Drop To The 20s; Dry, Sunny Week Expected: IL Weather

ILLINOIS — After several days of mild temperatures, colder air will move into the area Monday night and cause colder than average temperatures Tuesday and Wednesday.

According to the National Weather Service, Monday will be mild with a high of 51 degrees. Fog and rain are likely before noon Monday. There is also a chance of rain and snow Monday night as cold temperatures move into the area.

Tuesday will have a high of 30 degrees, which is 20 degrees lower than Monday's high. Wednesday will be even colder, with a high of 20, the weather service said.

Temps will begin to warm slightly toward the end of the week, with Thursday's high at 29 degrees, and Friday has a high of 39 degrees.

After the precipitation on Monday, the rest of the work week should be dry and sunny, the weather service said. There is a chance of rain and snow on Friday night.
