Temps Get Down To 50s, Cooler Week Ahead For IL

ILLINOIS — After a warmer weekend, below normal temperatures are expected throughout the week for the Chicago area. According to the National Weather Service, there is even an elevated frost risk on Friday and Saturday.

Monday will be rainy, with a high of 62 degrees, the weather service said. There is also a chance of isolated thunderstorms, with cloud to ground lightning possible Monday afternoon.

Tuesday and Wednesday will both be dry and have a high of 63 and 69, respectively. Rain is possible again on Thursday, which will have a high of 59 degrees, according to the weather service.

Friday is looking to be the coolest day of the week, with a high of 56 degrees. It should be mostly sunny that day in the Chicago area, according to the weather service.
