Temps Near 60 Degrees As March Begins: IL Weather

ILLINOIS — With the first day of March will come temperatures near 60 degrees Sunday. Saturday will also be fairly mild, with a high of 43 degrees, the National Weather Service said.

Both Saturday and Sunday will be sunny and dry. Sunday will have a high of 58 degrees, with a chance of rain Sunday night.

The mild temperatures will also continue to start the work week Monday and Tuesday, the weather service said. Monday will have a high of 49, while Tuesday will have a high of 50 degrees.

The weather service also shared on Twitter that there is growing evidence to suggest that the first half of March will have more mild days than cold days.

FRIDAY NIGHT: Clear, with a low around 12. Northwest wind 5 to 10 mph.

SATURDAY: Sunny, with a high near 38. West wind 5 to 10 mph becoming south southwest in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 15 mph.

SATURDAY NIGHT: Increasing clouds, with a low around 30. South wind 10 to 15 mph.

SUNDAY: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 54. South southwest wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.

SUNDAY NIGHT: A 40 percent chance of rain. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 36.
