Temps Remain In The 80s, Storms Possible: IL Weekend Weather

Saturday and Sunday will both have temps in the 80s, and there's a chance of storms Saturday night into Sunday, and Sunday morning.

ILLINOIS — The warm, summer temperatures will stick around for the weekend and into the work week. According to the National Weather Service, Saturday will have a high of 83 and Sunday a high of 86 degrees.

There is a chance of storms and showers Saturday night into Sunday morning. The NWS said there's a chance of locally heavy rainfall northwest of I-55.

There's also a chance of storms on Sunday morning, before skies clear in the afternoon.

  • FRIDAY NIGHT: Mostly clear, with a low around 56. West southwest wind 5 to 15 mph.
  • SATURDAY: Sunny, with a high near 80. Southwest wind 5 to 10 mph, with gusts as high as 15 mph.
  • SATURDAY NIGHT: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1 a.m. Mostly clear, with a low around 64. South wind 5 to 10 mph.
  • SUNDAY: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before 1 p.m. Partly sunny, with a high near 82. Southwest wind 5 to 10 mph, with gusts as high as 15 mph.
  • SUNDAY NIGHT: Partly cloudy, with a low around 65.
