70 Degree Temps, Thunderstorms Possible: IL Weekend Weather

ILLINOIS — Hopefully, you're able to get outdoors this weekend, as temperatures are expected to rise up to 70 degrees. Some showers and thunderstorms are possible on Sunday, but it should be partly cloudy on Saturday, according to the National Weather Service.

Fog will start off the day on Saturday, before becoming partly cloudy. The high for the day is 69 degrees, while it will be in the low 50s for the lakefront, the NWS said.

Sunday could see some isolated thunderstorms, but it will be even warmer than Saturday. The NWS said the high for the day is 71 degrees. The warm temperatures will even stick around on Monday, and the high for the day is 73 degrees.

  • FRIDAY NIGHT: Patchy fog after 4 a.m. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a low around 43. East southeast wind around 5 mph.

  • SATURDAY NIGHT: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 51. Southeast wind 5 to 10 mph.
