Big Cool Down Coming For IL After Near-80-Degree Weather

The week ahead will feature mild temperatures throughout the week, with some chances for rain and thunderstorms. The National Weather Service said there is a chance for showers and thunderstorms on Monday afternoon and evening. Monday will be quite warm, however, and the high is 79 degrees.

Tuesday will be much cooler with a high of 66 degrees, and there is a chance of rain in the morning. According to the NWS, Wednesday will be similar to Tuesday with a high of 65 degrees.

Thursday will be slightly warmer with a high 0f 70 degrees, but the chance of thunderstorms and rain returns. The NWS said Friday will be sunny with a high of 67 degrees.
