Third Movie Starts Filming In Lemont
The movie will be filmed in the historic Budnik Building throughout the month of August.

LEMONT, IL — For the third time this summer, yet another movie is being filmed in Lemont. During the month of August, KC Productions, LLC, will be filming "The Killing of Kenneth Chamberlain" (working title), in downtown Lemont.
According to a release from the film, the movie will be filmed in the historic Budnik Building. The movie is the true story of the police-involved shooting of Kenneth Chamberlain, Sr., a black man with mental illness. Chamberlain was killed in November 2011 in New York after his medical alert necklace was inadvertently activated, and police responded to his apartment.
Filming started on Aug. 10 and will continue filming until Aug. 24.

"KC Productions is excited to be shooting this important film in Lemont, and working with the businesses, village, and community has been a great experience," the company said in a release.
The film is written and directed by David Midell and stars Frankie Faison as Kenneth Chamberlain.
