Three Arrested For Stealing Over $4K In Merchandise: Lemont Cops

Three people from Chicago were arrested for felony retail theft in Lemont.

LEMONT, IL — Three people from Chicago were arrested after they stole $4,500 in merchandise from the Lemont Target. Police said Merle Jones, 41, of Chicago, Christopher Carr, 35, of Chicago, and Teonia Bullocks, 35, of Chicago were each charged with one felony count of retail theft.

Police said the three suspects were arrested Dec. 26 and the theft took place Dec. 23 at Target, 13460 S. Archer Ave. As part of the investigation, detectives were alerted to other possible retail thefts where Jones and Carr were suspects.

Lemont Police assisted several other jurisdictions in getting felony charges approved, including, Flossmoore, Mount Prospect, Skokie and Bolingbrook police departments.

The three suspects were taken to the Bridgeview Courthouse and are waiting for a bond hearing.
