The 2026 IHSA Class 1A Girls' Tennis State Finals were contested from Oct. 22-24.

LEMONT, IL — Lemont High School seniors Danielle Fischer and Grace Murray and freshman Sophia Mietus all made their debuts at the 2026 IHSA Class 1A Girls’ Tennis State Finals, which were contested from Oct. 22-24, the District shared in a news release.
Fischer and Murray reached the fourth consolation round in doubles, while Mietus did the same in singles play. Each entry won three of five state finals contests, the school said.
Mietus did not surrender a point to her foe from Geneseo in the opening round, but dropped a straight sets match to a seeded opponent from Lake Forest in the second round, the high school said. She earned straight sets wins over opponents from Jerseyville and Dixon in the second and third consolation rounds, respectively, before bowing out to another seeded opponent in the fourth consolation round against a foe from Carmel.
