Three LHS Coaches Honored As South Suburban Coaches Of The Year

LEMONT, IL — At its Dec. 20 board meeting, the Lemont High School Board of Education recognized three coaches who earned South Suburban Conference Coaches of the Year honors.

Bret Kooi earned the 2021 South Suburban Conference - Blue Division Football Coach of the Year; Bill Mondrella was recognized for 2021 South Suburban Conference Girls Golf Coach of the Year; and Tim Plotke was awarded 2021 South Suburban Conference - Blue Division Girls Cross County Coach of the Year, the school said.

According to IHSA, South Suburban Conference member schools include Eisenhower, Reavis, Thornton Fractional North, Hillcrest, Evergreen Park, Thornton Fractional South, Lemont, Bremen, Oak Forest, Richards, Oak Lawn Community High School, Shepard, Argo and Tinley Park.
