Thunderstorms Possible, Temps Soar To 75 Degrees In IL
The start of the week will be beautiful and Monday could be the warmest day of 2019 so far.

Before the work week begins, some thunderstorms are expected Sunday afternoon and evening. The National Weather Service said there is a limited thunderstorm risk as well as a limited hail and limited damaging wind risk. Scattered thunderstorms are expected to develop mid-afternoon, especially south of I-88. A few of these storms may be severe.

After possible storms on Sunday, unseasonably mild temperatures are expected on Monday and Tuesday. Monday could be the warmest day in 2019 so far, and a high of 75 degrees is expected. Tuesday will be slightly cooler, but a high of 65 is still in the forecast.
After the two warm days to start the week, temperatures will drop to the 50s on Wednesday, and rain is possible. Thursday will be warmer again with a high of 68, but thunderstorms and rain are also possible, according to the NWS.
