Community Corner

An event created to encourage communication and connection at LHS

We spend so many hours being busy, running crazy, creating small amounts of communication and large amounts of chaos, let's stop and listen.

Update Oct 23:

With special thanks for the financial support from the Mayor's Drive for
Charity, Lemont High School and Hope and Friendship Foundation, another
event from the (not)INVINCIBLE
community outreach focused on students, parents, families will be held
on Thursday October 25 in Lemont High School Performing Art Center from
6-8:30pm.

This community event will gather many
groups together at Lemont High School, in the PAC hall, to share their
youth focused outreaches and then the evening will feature renown youth
speaker Phil Chalmers, followed by a special announcement by myself and
Seth Mercer on what is the next (not)INVINCIBLE outreach.

Visit local groups, sports, organizations, support systems in the Hall of Info from 6-7pm. Hall is filled with youth groups, organizations,
sports, support systems all set up to share information with you. If
you/your group/your support system would like to join the Hall of Info
please email me ASAP.

Like you, I TRULY care about our young people and our community and I am
hoping you will commit the time to join me this night, bringing us
together to connect and communicate with one common goal: bettering the
lives of our young people.
See you this Thursday at Lemont High School!!!

Event info:

A Hope and Friendship (not)INVINCIBLE event will be on Thursday Oct
25th at Lemont High School in the Performing Arts Center (southwest area
of the school) from 6-8:30pm. This event will feature a renown speaker
(Phil Chalmers) and the return of the Hall of Info (community
organizations, groups, teams, services, support systems focused on our
youth). This is a cooperative event funded and brought to our community
by Lemont High School, the Mayor's Drive for Charity and Hope and Friendship Foundation.

We spend so many hours being busy, running crazy, and creating small
amounts of communication and large amounts of chaos. This event is an
opportunity to bring youth and parent together to learn, listen,
communicate and connect. My hope is that all who attend walk away with
more information, more determination, and more hope for a healthier and
happier community of youth, adults, and families.
