Township Officials Of Illinois Offers 2019 Scholarships

LEMONT, IL — High school seniors can apply for The Township Officials of Illinois 2019 Scholarship. According to the township, the scholarship fund has awarded scholarships since 1989 to high school seniors to continue their education at Illinois colleges/universities.

Seniors need to complete an essay on "The Role of Township Government in Today's Society and in the Future." The Township Officials of Illinois will award seven $1,500 scholarships in 2019. Applicants must also interview a township or county official and have them sign the scholarship application.

Among other requirements, seniors must have a 3.0 out of 4.0 GPA, plan to attend an Illinois college, and be involved in extracurricular activities. Applications are due by March 1.
