Treat and treating for the Lemont Food Pantries! Fill a bag and help fill the shelves!
Pick up a bag to fill for our Lemont Food Pantries this week from one of two Lemont Farmers Markets or from the Lemont Township Office.
Did you know? We have two food pantries here in our Lemont community that assist more than 100 households with monthly offerings of non-perishable foods. Bethany Church and Lemont United Methodist Church house the two pantries and volunteers pour heart and spirit into trying to keep the shelves organized and filled with any and all donations that flow in.
How you can help: In this season of trick or treating Lemont Township is hoping to help fill the shelves with some much needed items. Chipain's Finer Foods has generously donated 100 bags that we hope to fill and deliver to both of the pantries. If you would like to assist in this food drive you can pick up your bag at either the Tuesday Oct 18th or Friday Oct 21st Lemont Farmers Markets 8am-12noon (located behind La Dolce Vita in the Talcott Plaza) or you can stop by the Lemont Township Office behind Chipain's (1115 Warner Ave) Monday-Friday 8am-4pm and pick up your bag to fill.
Bring the bags back to the Tues Oct 25th Lemont Farmer's Market 8am-12noon or drop the bag off at the Lemont Township Office (behind Chipains at 1115 Warner Ave).
