Scout Troop 149 will be hosting their Pancake Breakfast on Sunday, October 23 from 8am-Noon at Old Quarry Middle School (16100 W 127th St, Lemont, IL). Tickets can be purchased at the door for $12/adult and $10/senior/child. Pancakes, sausage, bacon, scrambled eggs, and tater tots will be served along with orange juice, milk, and coffee. Guests may enjoy their breakfast at the school or take their food to go. Proceeds from the breakfast benefit Troop 149 and go towards the purchase of merit badges, camping gear, and other Troop expenses.
In the past couple of years, Scouts from Troop 149 have completed Eagle Projects around Lemont including painting at the VFW, completing the story board walk at Mayfair Park, scraping and painting fencing at St. James at Sag Bridge Catholic Church, building the community food pantry outside of the Lemont Library, restoring the courtyard at Our Lady of the Woods, remodeling and beautifying the courtyard at SS Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church, and installing a bocce ball court with the Lemont Park District. This represents hundreds of hours of service to the community and faith organizations.
