Truck Traffic Diverted Through Lemont Due To Accident: Cops
A car accident on Monday morning caused traffic delays and for truck traffic to be diverted for several hours.

LEMONT, IL — A car accident on Monday morning caused traffic delays and for truck traffic to be diverted for several hours. An accident involving entrapment took place around 7:40 a.m. Monday, Feb. 18, at New Avenue and 127th Street, Lemont Police said.
The road was closed for several hours until 10:40 a.m. and some truck traffic on New Avenue was diverted through the Timberline Knolls subdivision, police said. Traffic on 127th Street was also backed up to I-355.
Police said the driver of the car involved in the accident did have injuries and was taken to a local hospital. The accident was between a Jeep and a semi-truck.

The road is now reopened and truck traffic will function as normal.
