Trustee Paul Chialdikas Wants to Be Lemont's Next Mayor

Chialdikas declared his candidacy on Wednesday.

LEMONT, IL —Village of Lemont Trustee Paul Chialdikas will seek to become Lemont's next mayor, he announced Wednesday.

With Mayor Brian Reaves’ recent announcement he will not be seeking another term, Chialdikas believes his candidacy will be the best way for residents and businesses in Lemont to continue the path of growth and success.

“I am pleased and honored to announce my candidacy for Mayor of the great Village of Lemont," Chialdikassaid. "Serving as a Trustee since 2009, I understand what our village has gone through in economic development, expansion and enhancing where we live and work.

“As a candidate I will focus on three things: working with residents, businesses and our first responders to ensure a safe community; continuing to drive economic development; and working with our elected officials on protecting our strong relations with our municipal neighbors.

“Lemont is a unique village with the ability to grow without losing our historic roots. As an 18 year resident of Lemont, I would be honored to continue to lead our village down a strong path.”

He and his wife have three children. As a strong businessman, Chialdikas has a successful track record as an entrepreneur and corporate leader. He is currently the vice president of sales and marketing at Bedford Grow LLC and is helping the company quickly become a leader in medical cannabis distribution. Prior to that, Chialdikas was a territory sales manager for Fortifiber Building Systems Group overseeing a ten state region and also served as president of PC’s Pancake Cafe, a company he helped to attain and restructure.

As a strong believer in civic service, he is a member of the board of the Illinois International Port District and is vice president of the board of Little Mountain Community Theatre.
