Twice as Nice: Lemont High School Cheerleaders Claim Second Consecutive Conference Title
The team came out on top this weekend at the South Suburban Conference meet in Oak Forest.

Lemont High School repeated as the South Suburban Conference champion in cheerleading over the weekend at the SSC Meet in Oak Forest. The varsity team earned its highest score of the season to edge out perennial rivals Oak Forest and Tinley Park.
The junior varsity squad also posted its second SSC title in as many years.
Lemont’s cheerleading program has won four IHSA Medium Division State Championships in the last six years (2009, 2010, 2011, 2014), and have finished among the top state’s top three teams nine straight years. Led by head coach Dave Erlenbaugh, the Indians begin their title defense this weekend at the IHSA Joliet West Sectional; the top five teams from each sectional advance to the IHSA State Finals.
