LEMONT, IL — Two people who recently attended Lemont High School summer sports activities have tested positive for the coronavirus, the school shared with Patch.
"Based on the information we have received, we do not believe these cases are related," the school said.
LHS follows guidance from IDPH and IHSA, and student-athletes and coaches are required to wear masks while indoors and also remain six feet from one another, the school said. Masks are required outdoors when six feet of distance cannot be maintained.

"Unlike a classroom environment, inadvertent close contact is more likely to occur during athletic competition," the school said. "We have asked student-athletes and coaches who may have been in close contact with the individuals who have tested positive to stay home for 14 days."
