Two Oakwood Staff Members Test Positive: D113A

With the upcoming return to hybrid learning, the district is also planning on creating a dashboard to keep track of cases in the district.

LEMONT, IL — Two staff members at District 113A's Oakwood School have tested positive for the coronavirus, Superintendent Anthony McConnell said in an email to families. Neither of the staff members were at school this week, and their cases are not linked to each other.

District 113A is planning to begin hybrid learning the week of Sept. 28. McConnell said in the email that since students will soon be returning to school, the district will notify families of any positive cases that could impact schools and operations.

"We will also be creating a dashboard to keep track of the number of cases as well as students and staff required to quarantine," McConnell said in the email. "Additionally, if you or your child is ever identified as a 'close contact' by any positive or probable cases, you will be notified separately."
