Valentine's Day In Lemont: Where To Head For Date Night

Lemont has several family-owned restaurants and lots of options across town, but readers shared a few of their favorites.

LEMONT, IL — With Valentine's Day just two weeks away, Lemont Patch reached out earlier this week to its readers on Facebook to ask them where their favorite date night spot is in Lemont.

Valentine's Day always falls on Feb. 14, which happens to be a Tuesday this year.

Lemont has several family-owned restaurants, including lots of options in its downtown, but readers shared a few of their favorites:

Barrel and Vine

One of the newer restaurant options in downtown Lemont, Barrel and Vine opened in 2021 at 206 Main St.

Mentioned several times by readers on Facebook, Barrel and Vine offers new American cuisine, including options like crab cakes, grilled ribeye steak, filet mignon, stuff pork chops, porterhouse lamb chops, pub burgers, southern chicken sandwiches and more. The restaurant also offers a selection of cocktails and wine.

Barrel and Vine is open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Monday through Wednesday, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Thursday, 11 a.m. to midnight on Friday and Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Sunday.


Wooden Paddle

Opened in 2018, Wooden Paddle has become well-loved in Lemont for its wood-fired pizzas. The restaurant features classic pizzas like its "Margherita" which has fresh mozzarella and cracked sea salt, but also expands the usual pizza selection with options like "Gettin' Figgy Wit It" which includes prosciutto and fig jam.

The restaurant also offers some pasta dishes, salads, appetizers and specialty cocktails.

Wooden Paddle, 212 Stephen St., is open from 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Sunday through Thursday and 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.


Tap House

While not a part of the downtown business scene, Tap House Grill was another date night option chosen by readers.

The restaurant, at 1243 State St., offers American cuisine like wings, pork nachos, burgers, chicken sandwiches, wraps, tacos and more.

Tap House is open from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily.


La Dolce Vita

An Italian eatery staple in downtown Lemont, La Dolce Vita offers dishes like calamari, bruschetta, fettuccine, cheese ravioli, risottos, eggplant Parmesan, and some seafood options.

The restaurant also offers a selection of wine and seasonal cocktails.

La Dolce Vita, 107 Stephen St., is open 4 to 9 p.m. on Monday through Thursday, 4 to 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and 3 to 8 p.m. on Sunday.


Rosebud

Another option outside downtown Lemont, Rosebud, was chosen by readers for their date night favorite.

Opened in 2019, Rosebud offers Italian dishes like spaghetti, lasagna, ravioli, baked ziti, fettuccine Alfredo, as well as some seafood options like calamari, baked clams and steamed mussels.

The restaurant, 12350 Derby Road, is open from 3 to 9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, and 3 to 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
