Warm, Summery Weekend Ahead For IL

The weekend should remain dry, and the weather service said the next chance for rain is on Monday.

ILLINOIS — If you were already missing some summer-like temperatures, highs this weekend will creep back into the 80s. According to the National Weather Service, the high for Friday and Saturday will be 82, and Sunday will be 79.

Friday will also be windy, and there could be gusts as high as 40 mph Friday afternoon, according to the weather service.

Saturday will be warm, but it will turn cooler near the lake as a cold front moves into the area later in the day. The weekend should remain dry, and the weather service said the next chance for rain is on Monday.
