Driver Loses Control Of Car, Backs Into I&M Canal: Fire Officials

LEMONT, IL — The driver of a car is safe after losing control of their vehicle and backing partially into the I&M Canal. The incident was reported in the 15100 block of Main Street in Lemont.

According to the Lemont Fire Department, the driver was able to exit the vehicle without getting into the water. The driver was taken to a local hospital as a precautionary measure.
