White Sox Pitcher Mark Buehrle Supports Local Fundraiser

Southpaw stopped by Derby Road Dunkin' Donuts on Friday for Lemont Police Department's annual Cop on Top event.

Lemont police and Dunkin' Donuts patrons were treated to a special surprise this weekend as the town's most famous left-handed pitcher stopped by the annual Cop on Top fundraiser.

Chicago White Sox ace Mark Buehrle, a Lemont resident, showed his support for the his local police department on Friday by making a donation to the Law Enforcement Torch Run, which benefits Special Olympics Illinois.

Lemont Police Chief Kevin Shaughnessy thanked Buehrle for supporting the Cop on Top event during the village board meeting Monday night.
