-20 Wind Chills Expected: Winter Sticks Around In IL

Although it's March, winter is still clinging on and causing some below-average temps for the start of the work week. The National Weather Service has issued a wind chill advisory for Lake, Kane, DuPage, Cook, Kendall, Grundy, Will, Kankakee, Livington, Iroquois and Ford counties from 12 a.m. to 9 a.m. Monday.

The NWS said very cold wind chills are expected, with wind chill values as low as 20 below zero. The cold temps will continue through Wednesday morning, and Tuesday has a high of 19 during the day and 7 degrees at night.

After Wednesday, temps will rise into the 30s, and Friday will have a high near 37 degrees, the NWS said. There is a chance of snow starting Thursday afternoon and Friday, but no accumulation is expected.
