Chicago-Area Weather: Wintry Mix, Rain, Thunderstorms
Rain will stick around for most of Saturday, before skies clear on Sunday.

This weekend will see some mild temperatures, but a chance for precipitation. According to the National Weather Service, a wintry mix will be possible Saturday morning, but will change to rain in the afternoon. There is also a chance of thunderstorms on Saturday, and possibly up to a quarter inch of rain for most of the area.
Temps on Saturday will be 40 degrees for the north suburbs and 50 degrees for the south suburbs.

Sunday will see sunny skies, and a high of 47 degrees. According to the National Weather Service, Sunday and Monday will both be breezy, with gusts as high as 35 mph on Sunday.

Here is a look at your forecast this weekend:
- FRIDAY NIGHT: A slight chance of freezing rain between 3 a.m. and 5 a.m., then a slight chance of rain after 5 a.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 32. West wind 5 to 10 mph becoming east northeast after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 20 percent.
- SATURDAY: A chance of snow and freezing rain before 7 a.m., then a chance of rain. Cloudy, with a high near 44. East wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50 percent.
- SATURDAY NIGHT: Rain before 5 a.m., then a chance of snow. Some thunder is also possible. Low around 33. Breezy, with an east southeast wind 15 to 20 mph becoming west southwest after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 35 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80 percent. Little or no snow accumulation expected.
- SUNDAY: Mostly sunny, with a high near 45. Breezy, with a west southwest wind 15 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 35 mph.
- SUNDAY NIGHT: Mostly clear, with a low around 27.
- MONDAY: Sunny, with a high near 48.
