Young Chefs Honored At Lemont Township Kids Cook Off
There were 16 entries at the cook off, and more than $200 was raised for Lemont food pantries.
LEMONT, IL — Several young chefs won the top prize at the 7th annual Kids Cook Off at the Lemont Township Community Center on Jan. 27. There were 16 entries at the cook off, and more than $200 was raised for Lemont food pantries.
The township said the winners were: Spencer Schmidt; Annabelle Franzese (who won in two categories); Blake Schmidt; and Jackson Boersma.
Community members, including some police officers, headed out to the event to sample the young chefs' work.
