Young Hearts For Life To Provide Free Cardiac Screenings For Lemont Students
The Young Hearts for Life (YH4L) Cardiac Screening program will visit Lemont High School on April 28.
LEMONT, IL — With the support of generous donors, Lemont High School again is partnering with Young Hearts for Life to offer all Lemont High School students free cardiac screenings, the high school shared in a news release.
The Young Hearts for Life (YH4L) Cardiac Screening program will visit Lemont High School on April 28, the school said. All students whose parents/guardians authorize them to be tested will be screened during the school day. These free screenings are made possible through the generosity of event sponsors the just1mike and Mend A Heart Foundations, as well as Young Hearts for Life donors.
Young Hearts for Life is a non-profit organization that provides free cardiac screenings through an electrocardiogram. Lemont High School has had more than 5,300 students receive free screenings in its first six YH4L events, according to LHS.

Lemont High School and YH4L are also seeking adult volunteers to assist with ECG screenings, the school said. Many types of volunteer positions are available; volunteers do not need to have a medical background.
Volunteers are needed for two shifts on April 28. Volunteer training is mandatory, and will be held during the evening on April 27. Those interested in volunteering should visit the “Young Hearts for Life Cardiac Screenings” page on the school’s website and complete the volunteer sign-up form, which is available at the top of the page.
