Your Haunted Lemont Stories are Needed!
The Haunted Canal Hay Ride Event will feature stories of hauntings from Lemont (embellishment is allowed!)

HIRING- No pay, BUT you get to help out two amazing foundations that
are helping our local young friends and have fun while doing it!!!!
I am hoping to connect with three groups of people:
**those who love to dress up and yell "boo" for Halloween events (high school and older)
and
**those who have scary stories of Lemont or who are creative and can create scary stories
**those who love to tell/narrate scary stories and want to be one of our wagon guides (18 and older)
On Oct 19, 20, 26 and 27, myself and a large planning team are working
diligently and frantically (time goes too fast!!!) to put on a very
large scale event that will cover a mile of our downtown Lemont,
hopefully, bringing hundreds into our downtown to enjoy a half hour ride
that consists of a wagon guide/storyteller weaving tales of haunts that
have occurred (or might have occurred) within our beloved Village
(tails being told while as "haunts" occur around them during their hay
ride along the I&M Canal, from the Safety Village to Olin Corp and
then and along Talcott St).
Our wagon guides/storytellers will
have a handful of "stories of hauntings" on index cards and they will
narrate submitted stories off of these cards while we travel along a
mile of our haunted downtown.
OUR EVENT NEEDS STORIES- HAUNTED LEMONT STORIES!
If you have a story, or would like to create a story to be read, please keep the story less than 300 words.
Have you encountered one of these notorious Lemont spirits while
shopping, eating, visiting one of our churches or cemeteries?
What story of your close encounter with a ghost/spirit in Lemont do you have that would bring about goosebumps on our riders?

Each guide/storyteller will be sharing multiple stories per ride and we
need plenty to make each ride completely different...but for that to
happen we need your story!
Submit your Haunted Lemont Story to info@hopeandfriendshipfoundation.com by Sept 24th.
Stories will be selected by our Planning committee. Your story may
make this Hay Ride the best Halloween Event this side of the skeleton's
bones.
If you are interested in volunteering for our Haunted
