3 Arrested for Prostitution at 3 Libertyville Massage Parlors

The arrests were made at Pine Spa, Asian Wellness and Cozy Spa -- all businesses in Libertyville.

Three employees at three different Libertyville massage parlors were arrested in recent weeks on prostitution charges following a lengthy investigation by the Lake County Metropolitan Enforcement Group and the Libertyville Police Department

The investigation was initiated following several complaints from citizens regarding possible prostitution occurring at these licensed massage facilities, according to a Libertyville Police Department report. 

On June 1, police arrested an employee at Pine Spa, 916 South Milwaukee Avenue in Libertyville. Sun Wha Kim, 48, of Los Angeles, was charged with prostitution after she allegedly offered to perform sexual acts for money, police said.

Kim was released on a personal recognizance bond and is expected in court on July 13. 

Just before 2 p.m. on April 25, police arrested an employee at Asian Wellness, 1117 South Milwaukee Avenue, Suite B1, in Libertyville. Lian Mei Wang, 55, 6728 Derby Drive, Apt. J, in Gurnee, was charged with prostitution after she allegedly offered to perform sexual acts for money.

An employee of Cozy Spa, 333 Peterson Road, Suite 240, in Libertyville, was also arrested just before 2 p.m. on April 25. Sam Hwa Lee, 58, of 215 E. Park Avenue, was charged with prostitution after she allegedly offered to perform sexual acts for money. 

Wang and Lee were released on individual personal recognizance bonds. Lee and Wang both pleaded guilty to the prostitution charges during a June 8 hearing, according to online court records.
