4th DUI For 'Unresponsive Driver': Police

Frank Bojniewicz, of Texas, was arrested by Libertyville police and charged with aggravated DUI.

LIBERTYVILLE, IL — A Tennessee man was arrested for his fourth drunken driving last month after he was reported to be unresponsive while behind the wheel of his car at an intersection in Libertyville.

Frank Bonjniewicz, 54, of Dickson, Tennessee, has since been charged with aggravated driving under the influence/4 following his Nov. 18 arrest, according to online court records. His bail was set at $250,000.

Police say they first found Bojniewicz in the driver's seat of his car, which was stopped at North Stewart Avenue and West Maple Avenue at about 12:52 p.m., according to a Libertyville Police Department report. They were called to the scene for a report of an unresponsive driver.

Officers noticed he was slow with his responses and also showed multiple signs of impairment, according to the police report. He was arrested and taken to the Libertyville Police Department before attending a remote bond hearing where his bail was set at $250,000.

Bonjiewicz is next expected in court on Jan. 5.
