7 Lake County Businesses Cited For Selling Alcohol To Minor

LAKE COUNTY, IL — Seven businesses were cited during recent alcohol compliance checks in Lake County.

The Lake County Sheriff's Office conducted the compliance checks at 55 businesses across the county. The compliance checks are meant to make sure businesses selling alcohol are not selling to anyone under the age of 21, according to a news release from the sheriff's office.

Of the 55 establishments checks, seven businesses are accused of selling alcohol to someone under the age of 21. The businesses accused of selling to customers under 21 years old include:

• Aldi, 2741 Hartigan Road, Volo
• Casey’s, 39131 North Sheridan Road, Beach Park
• Hoeksema’s Mini Mart, 38975 North Lewis Ave, Beach Park
• Puff N Stuff, 20370 North Rand Road, Deer Park
• Country Corner, 26071 North Diamond Lake Road, unincorporated Mundelein
• A&N Liquor, 34780 Catherine Dr, Ingleside
• BP Gas, 41530 North Route 45, unincorporated Antioch

The clerks selling alcohol at the businesses have received tickets, authorities said.
