WAUKEGAN, IL — A $850,000 lottery ticket was sold over the weekend at a gas station in Waukegan.
The Lucky Day Lotto ticket was sold at the Thorntons at 3233 Grand Avenue in Waukegan, according to state lottery officials. The winning ticket matched all five numbers for the Sunday, Feb. 5 drawing to take home the grand prize.
The winning numbers are: 17-20-22-24-35.

The Illinois Lottery encourages all winners to write their name on the back of their ticket and keep it in a safe place until they’re ready to claim their prize. Winners have one year from the date of the winning draw in which to claim their prize, according to a news release from the Illinois lottery.
Thorntons will receive a bonus of $8,500 for selling the ticket.

Nearly 25,000 other prizes, ranging from $1 to $200, were won in the Friday Lucky Day Lotto drawing.
