Adler Center Prepares for Centennial "Speakeasy" Benefit
Join the Adler Center for a roaring-twenties themed evening of libations, food, and dancing to celebrate the centennial of the Adler estate.
The David Adler Music & Arts Center announces their Annual ‘Speakeasy’ Benefit will be held on Saturday, May 19, from 6-10 p.m., at the historic estate of renowned architect, David Adler. The event features the best of Lake County’s artistic, musical, and fine dining offerings and celebrates the centennial of the Adler Estate.
Explore Adler’s country home—nominated to the National Register of Historic Places—and discover how this quiet man transformed residential architectural design along the North Shore.

- Prohibition Era cocktails
- Annual silent auction of original fine art
- Gourmet small plates by Chef David Gray of 545 North Bar & Grill
- Dancing, and live jazz music by the Highland Park Pops Big Band
“It will be an evening of dancing, excellent food, and great art. It’s a fun night out and a great way to give back and support the Adler Center,” says Heather Williamson, Program Coordinator.

About the David Adler Music and Arts Center:
For over 35 years, the David Adler Music and Arts has offered music and art classes, scholarships, free art exhibits, and has hosted community-wide events like Fine Arts Month and the Annual Festival of the Arts held every August in Cook Park. The Adler Center’s only annual benefit will maintain and grow the Center’s offerings of exceptional art and music instruction, summer camps, workshops, concerts and art exhibitions.
Located in the historic home of architect David Adler, the David Adler Music and Arts Center is dedicated to making music and the arts an integral part of everyday life in the North Shore community. Its year-round activities are designed to foster engagement and achievement in the arts for the people of Northern Illinois and Southern Wisconsin.
