Howard was found as a stray by a good samaritan who took him in and called us for help. When he was found he was covered in wounds all over his body, smelled of urine and grime, and was emaciated.
Despite his crummy past, Howard doesn’t hold a grudge. He is one of the happiest dogs and loves nothing more than to have fun, play, and gets petted. He doesn’t seem to have had much experience living inside of a house and tends to use his tall size to his advantage (e.g., he excels at counter surfing). He’s simply a big puppy who wants to live life to the fullest and just waiting for someone to show him the ropes about being a part of a home and family.
Howard can sometimes be a “bull in a china shop” kind of guy, so small kids and senior pets may get bumped over when he’s excited and dancing about. He just has a hard time multi-tasking and keeping track of all of his long, gawky legs all the time.

He is a sweet dog and seems to love everyone he meets. He really enjoys playing outside with his furry foster sister. He is currently being crate trained and doing excellent. He is good in his crate and goes potty outside right away.
If you are looking for an energetic and happy fella, then Howard just might be the pup for you!
